Going Vertical: Steel and precast installation begins
On the Grounds: Big changes are visible! Crews have begun installing structural steel and precast wall panels, marking the start of vertical construction. Foundation work is nearly complete, with the last few concrete footings and foundation walls being poured. Underground utilities are also wrapping up, and site grading continues across the area. As steel and precast deliveries continue, expect increased truck traffic around the city hall campus.
Inside City Hall: Demolition work inside the building is wrapping up, clearing the way for the connection to the new City Hall addition. Staff workspaces remain operational and accessible throughout construction.
On the Outside: The existing southeast exterior wall of City Hall will remain in place through the fall to protect the building from weather. It is scheduled to be removed later this winter. Fencing and construction access points have been adjusted to accommodate ongoing site work while maintaining safety. Click here to see drone footage of the site.
Trash Enclosure Update: The existing trash enclosure has been removed to make room for construction access and the new building footprint. A temporary dumpster area has been set up and fenced off for continued service during construction.
What’s Next: Expect more visible progress as the steel structure takes shape this fall. The project remains on schedule, with framing for the City Hall addition continuing into October.
