Burnsville Ice Center
This ice time offers hockey skaters the opportunity to work on their skating skills either individually or through private lessons with an instructor depending on the age of the skater. On ice supervision is required for all skaters ages 17 & under. All equipment is required for skaters 17 & under, and helmets are recommended for skaters and instructors 18 & older. Each instructor can bring up to 8 skaters. Skaters and instructors must check in at the main office and pay before taking the ice. *Outside skating aids of any kind are not allowed*
These sessions are for hockey skaters of any age to come and skate with sticks & pucks! Come work on your skating skills, drills & stick handling. All equipment is required for any skater 17 & under. Helmets are required for any skater 18 & older. Scrimmages, games, & lessons are not allowed at any time. Pushers or skating aids are not allowed on the ice during these sessions. We will allow up to 35 skaters on the ice for Stick and Puck.
This ice time is for Figure Skaters only. Skaters 17 & under need to have a parent / guardian or coach in the building with them at all times.
Adult Open Hockey is for skaters 18 and older only. We accept the first 30 skaters and 3 goalies on a first come first served in person basis. Helmets are required, and all other gear is recommended.
Come Celebrate Halloween with us on Sunday, October 30, from Noon - 1:30 p.m. We will have FREE skating, Trick or Treating around the rink and offer FREE mini private skating lessons to new skaters (first come first served in person & subject to availability).
Volunteers collect native plant seeds which are later used in City natural areas. This is a fun way to get outside this fall. No prior experience is necessary. Invite your friends, kids and neighbors! Please register at burnsvillemn.gov/nativeplants

Whether you’re a do-it-yourselfer, or are planning to hire a licensed contractor, this 90-minute workshop will provide tips, tricks and information to help set expectations on home projects. A member of Burnsville’s Building and Protective Inspections division will lead the session. The first portion will be a presentation, with time at the end to ask questions about your specific project. Those who attend will be eligible for a $25 discount on their next building permit.
Bring on fall with pumpkins and puppy costumes at our annual Howl-O-Ween event in partnership with People of Alimagnet Caring for K9s (PACK). There will be a puppy parade through a Haunted Forest, a "Trick for Treats" station, pet-themed vendors, and a costume contest with fantastic prizes for the best dressed in multiple categories for both dogs and humans. You'll also get a chance to eat at one of our food truck vendors. The event is free to attend, no registration.

Skate around to the Monster Mash and your favorite Halloween tunes, trick-or-treat around the Ice Center and get your name into prize drawings while having a spook-tacular time. Skating at this event is free. Need skate rentals? Skates will be available for $5.
