June Updates - Groundbreaking, Clearing and Site Prep

Breaking Ground: We broke ground with a celebration on May 22. Our Police and City leadership teams, elected officials and our project partners invited the community out to a fun event marking the occasion.

On the Grounds: Fences mark the construction site; large equipment is here and the existing parking lot and tree line along 130th Street has been cleared and the site is being prepped for the new City Hall addition. Utility work and foundation construction are kicking off soon.

Inside City Hall: Temporary workspaces have been created to support staff and keep services running smoothly during construction. New conference rooms, cubicles and quiet phone rooms are already in use, along with a secure area for storing election equipment.

Next up: Pouring the foundation of our expansion of City Hall! Stay in the loop with our project camera.
