[ARCHIVED] Snow Removal Update

Large City trucks filled with de-icing salt

Crews spent today pre-treating roads and getting equipment fueled, loaded and ready to plow. Pre-treatment should keep the roads from getting too slick this evening, but trucks and crews are ready to go if the snow comes early.

A plow supervisor and emergency crew will be on duty throughout the night, with the remainder of the crew scheduled to come in between 2 – 3 a.m. They’ll be staying on duty until plowing is complete tomorrow afternoon or evening.

A couple of friendly reminders:
•  If you have an emergency overnight please call 9-1-1.
•  No on-street parking from 2 – 6 a.m. and PLEASE keep cars off the street until the roads are cleared curb-to-curb
•  Please place garbage cans in your driveway or on the boulevards behind the curb line
•  Consider adopting your closest fire hydrant and clearing a path to it and 3-feet around it
