What: Inclusive Playground Grand Opening Celebration
When: Monday, June 21 | 5 - 7 p.m.
Who: Kids, Adults, Families of all ability levels!
Where: 12100 River Hills Drive, Burnsville
The playground includes traditional play that is designed in ways that are more accessible for people with a variety of ability levels. Focus was put on group play experiences meant to bring people together while creating awareness, breaking down barriers and fostering friendships.
Another addition was the Bankshot court. Bankshot is a fame of skill and challenge! It consists of a nine-station basketball court that takes players through a course of different colored backboards at a variety of angles. This self-competitive sport is universally designed for all ages and abilities.
This new playground and Bankshot court was made possible through a partnership with the Burnsville Lions Club.
