Car Seat Checks:
Burnsville Police Department offers monthly car seat checks by appointment only.
Burnsville Citizen Academy:
This nine-week, in-depth program gives residents an inside look into Police operations and also includes an overview of fire/EMS training and City services. Participants are given the opportunity to tour facilities, experience hands-on activities such as dusting for prints, learn about common police calls, ask questions from experts, learn about department functions, see traffic stops, watch demonstrations and get involved in various scenarios. There is no cost to attend but space is limited. The academy takes place in the fall.
Fingerprinting
Fingerprinting is available by appointment only. To schedule, call 952-895-4578. The fee is $40 per person, payable by cash or check at the time of service. Please note: Appointments may need to be rescheduled if an officer becomes unavailable.
Fingerprinting may also be available through other law enforcement agencies or the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Contact them directly for availability and scheduling.

The City of Burnsville believes that Neighborhood Watch groups effectively reduce local crime and build strong neighborhoods.

Night to Unite is held on the first Tuesday in August. The event is a chance to strengthen neighborhood spirit and City-community partnerships.
