2025 Parks Projects

Using the Parks Plan as a guiding document, below you'll find the latest in projects at Burnsville parks, including updates, construction and renovations. All dates are weather-permitting and subject to change; thanks for your patience. You're going to love what's coming!

Colonial Park

• New playground is complete!
• Basketball court and tennis courts are open and ready for some friendly competition.
• Trails have been paved, restoration and seeding has begun. 

Crosstown West Park

• Tree work and erosion control is complete
• Trails have been paved and restored and ready for your afternoon walks. 
• Playground replacement has begun! An accessible poured-in-place surface is set to be installed with appropriate weather conditions. 

Hollows Park

• New playground is ready for play!  
• Trail, basketball court and parking lot are paved and ready for use  

Lac Lavon Park

• The new playground is complete and ready for play!
• Existing playground and volleyball court set for removal late fall. 

Northview Park

• Tennis court rehabilitation is complete!
• New playground is complete and ready for play!

Oak Leaf West

• Basketball court replacement is complete.
• Tennis courts have been paved and waiting for optimal weather for final surfacing and fence.  

Paha Sapa Park

• New trails are paved and ready for your afternoon walks.
• Restoration around new amenities set to be complete mid November.
• Playground is open and ready for play. 
• Tennis courts have been removed.   

Terrace Oaks East

• New playground is complete and ready for play. 

Wood Park

• Tennis court rehabilitation completed end of July.
• Playground replacement is done and open for play!
