Special Events

Issued To 

  • Events with expected attendance of over 100 participants in a City park or on City property
  • Run, walk, parade in a City street or park
  • Community event, festival, fair, religious celebration, or special event in a City park or street
  • Events utilizing fireworks, temporary stages, tents or canopies, carnival rides, amplified sound, generators, food or alcohol sales, or temporary signs

Special Events Permit Application (PDF)

Renewal

Permits must be obtained before every project and submitted 30 business days prior to the event date.

Additional Requirements

  • Events constructing indoor or outdoor tents must complete a Fire Tent Permit Application
  • Events with electric powered generators of 8kW or more or carnival rides will need an electrical inspection and permit please call the Building Department at 952-895-4444.
