Families are invited to join us for Kids to Parks Day, a national effort to encourage everyone to create their own outdoor adventures at local parks. Come explore Red Oak Park’s inclusive playground, new Bankshot™ court and green space. We’ll provide the music, snacks and refreshments.

Native Plant Market: Help birds, butterflies and bees by growing native plants! Browse a great selection from multiple vendors including beautiful native flowers that attract pollinators. Some vendors will have the option to pre-order plants in addition to shopping the day-of. Garden Tool Swap: Give and take any usable garden tools, decor, or plant-related equipment for free! Calling all artists! We’re mixing art and science to create some masterpieces within nature. Depending on the weather, kids will create sustainable nature sculptures, paint and dye color science, fiber weaving, animal footprints and more.

There’s so much to learn about our aquatic ecosystems! We’ll collect a survey of creatures found to test the health of the ecosystem and work on activities that explore how we impact the quality of our water and actions we can take to help it.
