Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off and Shred Event

Dakota County residents are invited to drop off a variety of unwanted items to be properly disposed during the annual Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off Day. Need to get rid of sensitive documents? Come on out! Shredding services are free and shredding will occur on-site.

Come check out Fire Station No. 1! Meet our firefighters/paramedics, take a tour of the station and learn about this year's Fire Prevention Week theme "Cooking safety starts with you. Pay attention to fire prevention." and tips on how to cook safely in the kitchen.

Halloween Fest

Boys and ghouls of all ages are invited to an illuminated trick-or-treat trail with music, entertainment and of course candy! Costumes are highly encouraged.

Glow Golf

We're hosting the very first Glow Golf on Friday, Oct. 27 to kick off Halloween weekend. Join us for a round with glow-in-the-dark golf balls and glow sticks.

Your registration includes a glow-in-the-dark ball, a glow stick, a brat and hot chocolate. Plus, we'll have additional glow-in-the-dark golf balls and glow sticks available for purchase.

Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest

Bring on pumpkins and puppy costumes! Join us and our partner, People of Alimagnet Caring for K9s (PACK), for a puppy parade through the haunted forest, a “Trick for Treats” station, pet-themed vendors, food trucks and a costume contest! Prizes for the best dressed in multiple categories.

Halloween Skate Party

Skate around to the Monster Mash and your favorite Halloween tunes, trick-or-treat around the Ice Center and get your name into prize drawings while having a spook-tacular time. Admission is free. No skates? No problem. We’ll have rentals available for $5.

Run Now Gobble Later 5K and Fun Run

Gather your friends, family and neighbors to kick off your Thanksgiving plans with a 5k and fun run. Registration includes a race t-shirt and a chance to win prizes from our sponsors. Join us at the finish line for music, coffee, hot chocolate and delicious eats from a food truck.
