Inclusive Playground Open House

Monday, July 15, 2019

The City of Burnsville is planning on building an inclusive playground at Red Oak Park. In order to ensure that the playground will be a place where children of all abilities can play, the public is invited to attend an upcoming open house to review and vote on playground design proposals from local vendors.

If you can't make it to the open house, you can provide feedback through a short survey at

The survey will close Tuesday, July 16 at 4 p.m.

Playground pieces in the initial concept include:
• Large Accessible Play Structure
• Bankshot Basketball
• Inclusive Seated Spinner
• Sensory Panels
• Walking Loop
• Gaga Ball Pit
• Multi-Person Disc Swing
• Accessible Teeter Totter
• Musical Instruments
• Multiple Seating Areas
