Party on the Plaza

The turnout for the inaugural Party on the Plaza - Burnsville’s BRAND NEW summer festival series - was outstanding. Now, the City is looking forward to seeing friends, families and neighbors out at July’s event. The festival will once again consist of a day-long street fair at Nicollet Commons Park including food, music, vendors and fun. Series finale will be Art & All that Jazz on Saturday, Aug. 17.

Free parking is available at the Heart of the City Parking Deck and Heart of the City Parking Ramp. Limited parking spaces are also available at the Diamondhead Education Center.

Entertainment begins at 11:15 a.m. with Rockin’ Readers – whjere Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191 staff reading books geared toward elementary and preschool children. The festivities will then will move right into our musical entertainment.

Kids Village

A designated Kids Village will feature a bounce house, The Free Book Buggie, inflatable soccer from District 191, activities by Conquer Ninja Gyms, face painters from WHOO Face Painting, interactive games from Dakota County Library and Funtime Funktions, and other activities and prizes.

School Supply Drive

During the event, the Burnsville Hockey Club and the Burnsville Senior Center will be collecting new school supplies to be donated to local families. Everyone who donates will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win the following prizes:

  • Four tickets for the City of Burnsville Halloween Fest
  • Passes for Conquer Ninja Warrior Open (open gym passes, parent night out and one-month membership)
  • Four passes for “Open Skate” at the Burnsville Ice Center
  • Two passes for 9 holes of golf at Birnamwood Golf Course (2)
  • 60-minute massage by Northern Life Wellness
  • A ride in the Fire Muster parade on a fire truck for two people
